Back in the mid 1970's, I was a young harmonica player when I met “blues singer, Moses Rascoe” who was in his early 70’s and just getting started on his music career. Moses quickly caught on and recorded an album “Blues” for Flying Fish Records. I was honored that my friend Moses asked me to play harmonica on his highly successful album.

Now, I am in my early 70's and have released seven original and three cover songs in 2025 with award winning Abigail Lapell singing on five of the songs. I am releasing new originals along with a few more cover songs in 2026.

I feel that I am truly finding my voice as a singer/songwriter with a new level of honesty and vulnerability in my writing.

This review first appeared in the March/April 1989 issue of Living Blues magazine.                                              The performance is likewise traditional, with Rascoe backed by harpist Ken Werner or performing with just his acoustic guitar. Werner's harmonica playing is of the highest quality, as he stays out of Rascoe's way in the true sense of an accompanist.
